San Michele Restaurant

We are open for breakfast, lunch and dinner! Our San Michele Restaurant is open from April to October, and offers an innovative approach to farm-to-table dining celebrating seasonal produce sourced from our organic, biodynamic vegetable gardens and local producers.

We welcome all of those exploring this part of Tuscany, not just those staying with us. So even if it is only for one meal, please feel welcome to join us. We take reservations, have free parking and you can even bring your dog!

We have a small but well-curated wine list featuring local Tuscan wines from both family-run wineries and internationally renowned Tuscan winemakers. Our menus showcase a creative dialogue between the chefs on our international chef-in-residence programme and our head chef Enrico who’s cooking is steeped in the age-old traditions of Tuscany. Enrico’s training in Michelin starred restaurants in Rome and Florence brings a sophisticated edge to his dishes. A farmer at heart, his food celebrates the simplicity of the amazing fresh ingredients that are available in Italy throughout the year. His approach offers a surprising and exciting twist to the culinary heritage of the region and its best known dishes, from Pappa al Pomodoro to Bistecca Fiorentina.

Whether you have chosen a half-board rate option with set menu dining, or drop in one night to enjoy our a la carte menu, you can enjoy mouthwatering specials which change day to day making the most of what’s fresh in the garden during your stay. We have plenty of vegetarian and vegan options available, as well as a yummy kids menu.


Breakfast is included with your room rate and served continental style, with a broad range of dishes to suit all tastes and diets. There are mouthwatering specials to pick from including our Tuscan style avocado toast and pancakes served with honey from the estate.

For lunch, our à la carte menu can just as easily be enjoyed in the restaurant as from your sun lounger by the pool or on the terrace. Choose from a selection of fresh and healthy salads, handmade pastas and showstoppers such as tagliata. Like all our menus, lunch is based on the seasonal harvest of the estate and celebrates the wonderful local producers we are privilaged to work with.



Join us on the terrace for aperitivo hour before dinner to enjoy the views over the valley and the 19th-century Villa with the most iconic of Italian aperitif traditions.


Our dinner menu changes daily, drawing on what’s in season and what we have collected from our gardens that very morning. Enjoy the hassle-free nature of half-board dining or select whatever takes your fancy from the a la carte menu which features a wide range of popular dishes celebrating seasonal local produce and the culinary traditions of the region, with a contemporary twist to suit all ages, tastes and dietary requirements. Tuesday nights are Pizza Night and not to be missed – our in-house pizzaiolo serves up the tasty classics as well as wild and wonderful combinations using whatever’s fresh from the gardens that day.
