Our Osteria San Michele offers an innovative approach to farm-to-table with plenty of vegetarian and vegan options available, as well as a tasty kids menu. Bespoke private dining experiences are available for groups of all sizes, whether in a quiet corner of the grounds or under moonlight in front of the Villa.

We welcome all of those exploring this part of Tuscany, not just those staying with us. So even if it is only for one meal, please feel welcome to join us. We take reservations, have free parking and you can even bring your dog!

Tuscan born Marco Baldeschi takes the helm at Osteria San Michele, previously having worked at prestigious Paris restaurants Saturne, Le Mary Celeste and Nobu in Ibiza. Marco’s food celebrates the perfect simplicity of Tuscan cuisine, where great ingredients take centre stage, and gives traditional dishes a contemporary and creative flourish, all led by produce and provenance. Based on seasonal ingredients, the Osteria San Michele menu will feature fresh produce grown in Villa Lena’s organic orto, overseen by Head Gardner Pierluigi – famously known in the area as Gigi – who has 25 years of experience working on Tuscan land.

Serving breakfast, lunch and dinner, guests and artists in residence gather at Osteria San Michele for a joyful dining experience that showcases the unique charm and romanticism of Villa Lena, once again portraying the rusticity and simplicity of Italian cooking. Available a la carte for lunch and dinner.


Breakfast is served from 8am, where guests are invited to enjoy a traditional Tuscan breakfast. To accompany the beverage offering will include specialty coffee from Le Piantagioni Del Caffe, roasted locally in Livorno. Additional breakfast items will also be on the menu, including Classic avocado toast with a seasonal twist, French toast with fresh berries and homemade granola with edible flowers and aromatics from the garden. In addition, Villa Lena’s talented in-house pastry chef Beatrice Quadrio will prepare a selection of delicious homemade pastries each morning, alongside freshly baked bread.

Lunch at Villa Lena is a convivial affair. The perfect intermittence to be enjoyed in-between one of the workshops or simply as a break from lounging by the pool. The menu will include selection of fresh seasonal salads, home made focaccia sandwiches, iconic dishes such as Linguine Botarga and a famous Villa Lena Burger. Available as a la carte or a set, €30 per person, menu.



As night draws in, guests gather for a convivial dining experience showcasing the unique charm of Villa Lena.

The dinner menu will include dishes such as Risotto alla Primavera, made with asparagus and fresh spring vegetables and Pappardelle con Ragout, cooked down for three hours until the meat is soft and flavourful. Other main dishes include Fave and Pecorino; a typical Roman dish served during springtime at the height of fava season, served with pecorino stagionato, Villa Lena olive oil, salt, pepper, and mint leaves, as well as Fritto Misto; made with local shrimp, calamari, eggplant, and zucchini. All dishes can be enjoyed individually, however best explored whilst sharing it family style dinning experience.

Osteria San Michele’s wine list has been curated by Villa Lena Team in collaboration with wine enthusiasts Michael Sager and Joshua Fontaine of Quixotic. The list consists of wines produced by small local wine makers such as Cosimo Maria Masini, Fattoria Fibbiano who makes organic, natural wines. Alongside you can find more classical profiles and well-known Italian labels like Cantina Antinori. In addition, the list features a selection of Villa Lena’s home-grown organic wines; Villa Lena’s Tutti I Giorni, a vibrant Tuscan red that embodies the carefree creativity and magical stories of Villa Lena in a bottle, and Da Occassioni, a full-bodied Tuscan red, as rich and vibrant as the land of its origin. Also available at the restaurant is a very special sparkling rosé that Villa Lena creates in collaboration with azienda Villa Marcello in Veneto, a family run business that has been making wine for over 600 years.
