Villa Lena Products are inspired by the mystical and wild nature that surrounds it, the creatures of the wilderness found on the property’s grounds and the product labels – a wise owl, an ancient dragon and a magical unicorn. Channelling their energy, these products are the embodiment of Villa Lena and they capture the experience of the estate in your own home, unleashing your carefree spirit, lifting your mood and bringing joy to your soul.

Our red wine is 100% organic and made with the typical Tuscan Sangiovese grape, one that has been associated with the most desired wines that the region has to offer for centuries. 2 Hectares of vineyards are pocketed around the estate, buried among woodland and set away from roads. The fields are carefully cultivated by our agricultural team using biodynamic and organic methods, seeding other plants between the vines to increase biodiversity. South-West facing, a mix of old and new vines soak up the hottest rays of the late afternoon sun, filling the grapes with intense flavour. Each harvest is hand picked and produced in a local winery.

DA OCCASIONE | 100% organic Sangiovese
A full bodied Tuscan red, as rich and vibrant as the land of its origin and the iconography that inspired it. The wild nature surrounding Villa Lena is known for its position on the ley line of San Michele which connects it to monasteries throughout Europe dedicated to the patron saint for whom the villa was originally built, who according to legend slayed the dragon, representing the Devil being sent to hell.

100% Pinot Grigio

In addition to our home-grown products, we also create a very special sparkling rosé in collaboration with azienda Villa Marcello in Veneto, a family run business that has been making wine for over 600 years. This sparkling wine is the latest project of famous wine maker Giovanni Mazzei. It comes from a careful selection of the Pinot Grigio planted in Fontanelle on Villa Marcello estate which is managed with minimal intervention and the utmost environmental responsibility. After 2 fermentations and 4 months ageing process in autoclave this wine gains a great volume with full body, distinctive flavors and great freshness. All in a rich pink color matching Tuscan sunset skies. 

This drink is a passion project of ours – building on the immense heritage of sparkling wines in Italy with an added contemporary twist, it perfectly sums up the experience of staying at Villa Lena.

Villa Lena olive oil is 100% organic and of superior quality. It’s Tuscan, hand-picked and cold pressed. Villa Lena olive oil is IGT—a denomination status that is a little less known than DOC or DOCG, but also denotes a distinctive product typical of a specific region—and is certified as a bio product i.e. certified organic.

Tasting notes: Our Extra Virgin Olive Oil is peppery and bright, with a smooth and spicy flavour which is achieved by blending a variety of olives (Frantoio, Leccino and Moraiolo).

Our olive oil is produced from olives grown and harvested exclusively on the Villa Lena estate, using organic and biodynamic principles. A variety of olives are collected from over 2000 ancient trees, scattered over 500 hectares, grown at an altitude of 300 metres above sea level which means more extreme temperatures than average Tuscan weather, resulting in stronger and more hardy olive trees that produce olives with a more robust and spicy flavour. The estate is in a remote part of Tuscan hills, surrounded by wild woodland, with limited or no pollution and healthy, unspoiled terrain.


The olives are harvested in the autumn, usually around the end of September or as late as November, depending on the year’s conditions. Due to the unusual and hard-to-reach terrain, the olives are always harvested by hand using ancient technique; nets are placed under the trees whilst they are shaken to dislodge the olives. The mix of varieties and maturities, contributes to the unusual flavour of the blend. Once harvested, the olives are immediately taken to the mill to be cold-pressed within 12 hours of harvesting and the olive press often works through the night at the height of the harvest. The freshly pressed olive oil is stored in a tank to allow the sediment to fall to the bottom and after a few weeks it is bottled and ready to enjoy.
