CREATIVE WORKSHOPS
Some of the core values at Villa Lena include creativity, collaboration, community and connection. Our exciting programme of creative workshops addresses all of these principles, bringing unique experiences to our guests, led by our artists-in-residence. The workshops – which have ranged from flower arranging to pottery, creative writing to art therapy – will vary depending on the time of year and artists we have on the residency programme.
Villa Lena’s 2023 creative workshops are led by a group of talented resident artists. These artists include Hafsa Riaz, Weronika Marianna, Jess Nicholas, Mauro Farinas, Paula Junchem, Myielle Karmi, Erin Tyler, Gala Bell, Mimi Joung, Sebastian Conrad, and Flora Deborah. Each artist brings their unique skills and expertise to their respective workshops, providing participants with an opportunity to learn and explore various techniques and mediums in a supportive and creative environment. Villa Lena is hosting various creative workshops in 2023 that cater to different interests and techniques. These workshops include monotype and linocut printing, emotional drawing, floral design, hand-building with clay, decal collage illustration, generating new ideas, baking and painting, exploring memories of the environment, floral sculptures, and intuitive drawing from nature. Each workshop is led by a resident artist and encourages participants to explore their creativity and produce unique and personal pieces. The workshops provide a relaxing and mindful environment for participants to learn new skills and techniques while being inspired by the breathtaking landscapes of Villa Lena.
