HOW DOES TRUFFLE HUNTING WORK?

In the early morning, with mist still hanging over the hills, you’ll set off from Villa Lena in a forest-green SUV alongside our agriculture team and their truffle dogs. In small groups, you’ll walk for around an hour and a half through the woods, learning about the forest’s history as a sacred place for the Etruscans. Along the way, you’ll listen for the calls of birds, follow the tracks of wild boar, and watch the dogs as they uncover signs of hidden white truffles.
After the hunt, you’ll return to the villa carrying the prized tartufo bianco
