Creative workshop – Bargello Needlepoint
April 13 @ 3:00 pm - 4:30 pm
Creative workshop | Bargello Needlepoint with Goia Mujalli & Cecilia Charlton In this workshop participants will become familiar with the bargello needlepoint technique, a type of needlepoint embroidery consisting of upright flat stitches laid in a mathematical pattern to create motifs. The name originates from a series of chairs found in the Bargello palace in Florence, which have a distinct and graphic pattern. Goia and Cecilia will introduce the materials and working methods behind bargello and encourage experimentation with this needlepoint style. This workshop aims to make embroidery more approachable and a daily creative activity that is fun for all ages.
